Christian Drug Counseling & Recovery Support Services
My name is Mike Kissick. I spent over ten years playing music in the bars strung out on cocaine, etc. After 23 years in mostly high security prisons, I decided that Jesus had a better life planned for me, an abundant life. I worked over three years as a therapist in a residential substance abuse treatment facility for women with children. As far as credentials, I have a Masters in Religious Studies, a Masters in Christian Counseling Psychology, a certificate from Penn State in drug counseling, certified as a Christian therapist by the American Society of Christian Therapists (no longer in existence, I'm getting old), a LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor), a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) with a Masters in Licensed Professional Counseling, Certified EAGALA Specialist, and currently working on a PhD at Liberty University. My wife, Karen, is a Recovery Support Specialist and Behavioral Health Case Manager who operates a sober living home for women with children, balancing a safe, nurturing home for the kiddos with the accountability and structure of a sober-living environment for mom. She and I are both truly blessed to be able to work daily with people whose lives have been touched by drug addiction and all that comes along with it.
